What is the New Year’s Eve 5K?

The New Year’s Eve 5K is a great way to finish off the existing year and earn your right to party on New Year’s Eve! Running is an important part of a healthy lifestyle, so as we look ahead to a new year, the New Year's Eve 5K is a great way to get a jump start on staying healthy in the year ahead.  

Where can I run/walk?

The New Year's Eve 5K will start and finish in Lake View Park (111 N. DuSable Lake Shore Drive), and the post-race celebration will be at Millennium Hall (11 N. Michigan Ave.) in Millennium Park., including a finisher's toast! 

What items are included with the New Year’s Eve 5K?

Your swag bag will include branded premium item(s), personalized race bib with a drink ticket for the post-race party, and more, and you will receive a finisher's medal.

How do I track my distance and time?

 

We will have a designated course laid out and marked for all in-person runners to run, with time chips on our bib. 

When will my packet be available for pick up?

Early Packet Pickup Locations:

Friday, December 29 between 12-6:30pm at the following locations:

Curaleaf (923 W. Weed St.)

Millennium Hall (11 N. Michigan Avenue)

Saturday, December 30 between 11am-5:00pm at the following locations:

Curaleaf (923 W. Weed St.)

Millennium Hall (11 N. Michigan Avenue)

Race Day Pickup Location between 6:45-7:30am:

Millennium Hall (11 N. Michigan Ave.)

What do I do if my premium item doesn’t fit?

Can I swap it? We do not offer any size exchanges post packet shipment. All changes to sizes need to be made prior to confirming registration.

Will there be a gear ceck on race day?

Yes! Gear Check will be available at Millennium Hall (11 N. Michigan Ave.) on race day, and will open at 6:45am and close at 11:00am. We recommend checking your gear by 7:30am in order to make it to the start line in Lake View Park by 7:45 for the pre-race stretch. The race will begin at 8am.
