What is the New Year’s Eve 5K?

The New Year’s Eve 5K is a great way to finish off the existing year and earn your right to party on New Year’s Eve! Running is an important part of a healthy lifestyle, so as we look ahead to a new year, the New Year's Eve 5K is a great way to get a jump start on staying healthy in the year ahead.

Where can I run/walk?

​

The New Year's Eve 5K will start and finish at the Theater On The Lake (2401 N. DuSable Lake Shore Drive), and the post-race celebration as well, including a finisher's champagne toast! 

​

What items are included with the New Year’s Eve 5K?

​

Branded premium item(s), personalized race bib, a complimentary drink of your choice & Champagne toast, and finisher's medal.

​

How do I track my distance and time?

 

We will have a designated course laid out and marked for all in-person runners to run, with time chips on our bib. 

​

When will my packet be available for pick up?

​

Early Packet Pickup:

Fleet Feet Old Town (1706 N. Wells St.)

Saturday, December 28th

10am – 6pm

 

Fleet Feet Lincoln Square (4762 N. Lincoln Ave.)

Sunday, December 29th

11am – 5pm

Will there be a gear check on race day?

​

Yes! Gear Check will be available at Theater On The Lake (2401 N. Lake Shore Drive) on race day, and will open at 7:30am and close at 12:00pm. We recommend checking your gear by 8:30am in order to make it to the start line on time for the 9:00am start time.
